Palestine - Israel Series

In response to the challenge we received when Rabbi David Mivisair visited Stirling on Nov 12, 2017, Missions, Peace & Justice Ministry is planning four adult faith formation sessions focusing on Israel - Palestine. Please join us!

January 7: Rachelle Friesen, the Canadian Director of Christian Peacemaker Teams, will tell us about CPT's work in solidarity with Palestinians.
January 14: A number of people from our congregation who have lived in or visited Palestine - Israel will share their experiences.
January 21: We will break from the Palestine - Israel series to meet our new ministry partners and learn about the Raw Carrot program, coming to Stirling in 2018
January 28: Kathy Bergen will join us to speak about over three decades of work on Palestine - Israel issues. Kathy, an aunt to Jeremy Bergen, now lives in Kitchener.
February 4: Our final session will focus on Mennonite Central Committee's advocacy program on preventing human rights violations by Israel on Palestinian children, and the destruction of Palestinian homes. We also will consider possible actions and next steps in learning about contributing to peace with justice in Israel – Palestine.
