Pastor of Faith Formation

Carrie grew up in Manitoba and studied at Canadian Mennonite University and Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary before moving to Kitchener to work half time at Stirling in 2013.

Carrie's calling in ministry grows out of...

  • a passion for the biblical story as our foundation for the ongoing lived narrative,
  • an awareness of our deep need for rituals and practices that create rhythm and deepen our faith and our identities as followers of Christ,
  • a desire to help people of all ages to connect with God through prayer, and
  • an interest in resourcing individuals and groups so they might be able to live out their calling with strength and integrity.

Carrie lives with her partner Alicia in a cute little house in Kitchener, where she also enjoys working as an editor for Shine Sunday school curriculum, crocheting, and reading YA sci-fi novels.
