Christmas Eve Offering 2020

Christmas Eve Offering 2020

This Christmas, we are inviting you to contribute to the House of Friendship’s Shelter Care program. Shelter Care is a huge advance in providing shelter for those who need it most. It puts medical care, social services and shelter under one roof.

Since the House of Friendship began their ShelterCare program in March, they have seen some incredible wins:

  • Overdose rates are down by over 50%

  • 75% reduction in Emergency Medical Service visits

  • 56 men housed in the past 6 months

For more information on this amazingly successful program, check out these two videos Shelter Care is Working and Roy’s Story. You can find even more details about Shelter Care (and see John Neufeld in action!) on the House of Friendship website.

You can contribute to the Christmas Eve offering anytime between now and the end of December. Donations can be made

  • by cheque ( payable to Stirling and designated “Christmas Eve”)

  • or online at www.canadahelps.org with “Christmas Eve” in the message box

  • if you wish to designate your pre-authorized donation from Kindred to “Christmas Eve”, please let Katie in the church office know in advance of the end of the month.
